HEARTWOOD MEDIA PRODUCES NH LOAN FUND VIDEO
Video will promote resident-owned manufactured housing parks
[MANCHESTER, NH]-
When the owner of a manufactured housing park decides to close the park,
homeowners have few options. Residents must move their homes to another
park, a costly and difficult process, and sometimes, another park is not
available. The NH Community Loan Fund (NHCLF) is working to change this
situation by preserving existing park communities, and they called upon
Heartwood Media, a Manchester-based video production company, for help.
Heartwood Media produced a DVD for the Loan Fund, helping the organization
to share their success stories with residents of other parks, donors and
other non-profits across the country. The DVD features interviews with
homeowners, espousing the benefits of cooperative owned parks, and explaining
the role that NHCLF plays in helping them achieve their goal of park ownership.
“The Loan Fund has a great mission,” says Chris Conroy, Creative
Director of Heartwood, “They’re helping people take control
of their lives and build equity with their homes. It was a pleasure helping
them promote their message.”
Conroy and his staff filmed on location in two Resident –Owned Communities
in the Lakes Region.
“The DVD is a is a powerful tool for us,” says Margaret Landsman,
Communications Director of the Loan Fund, “It allows us put a human
face on the people who have been successful in forming a co-op and purchasing
their park.”
